Diane and I met through one of my other clients, Alice Carder, at the beginning of 2020, just before the pandemic kicked off. We had to postpone our shoot twice due to the world events, so when we finally made it happen in October last year, it was a long-awaited meeting. I think we were both pretty pumped it was actually happening, albeit Diane was not so keen on being in front of the camera, saying that "she is shy and not very photogenic". Diane wanted that some new images for her holistic business, Kindred Spirit, specifically to promote her fasting-hiking retreat. We shot on location in Ealing, at a gorgeous allotment, filled with earthy rich colours.
After I delivered the final gallery, Diane messaged me about the images: "I am literally laughing out loud looking at them. It was the nicest shoot by far, because some of the pictures I don't even remember, it all felt so natural."

To start with, Martyna took her time in getting to know me before she communicated a few ideas of pictures, and she was BANG ON - she shared a mood board with images that reflected exactly what I had in mind. I am someone who is rather camera shy, and not super comfortable with the idea of a photoshoot, but Martyna totally made me feel at ease. Her calm nature and ability to truly listen reassured me throughout our time. She made it fun and made it all so natural that I hardly noticed our purpose of meeting. The whole photoshoot experience felt more like hanging out with a good friend. It was a joy and a pleasure to work with Martyna. I am super happy with the end result and I am already looking forward to another shoot."
